Polish Kielbasa with Onions, Apples and Sauerkraut
Serves: 6
Prep & Cook Time: 30 min
Ingredients

1 pound Kayem Polish Kielbasa

2 tbsps extra virgin olive oil

2 cups white onion, sliced

1 Granny Smith apple, diced 1/2”

2 cups sauerkraut, low sodium

1/2 cup white wine

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 tsp Tabasco

Instructions
  • Cut the Kayem Polish Kielbasa into 6 equal pieces on the diagonal.
  • Coat a 12" skillet with olive oil, and brown the kielbasa over medium high heat, about 1 minute per side. Remove and place in ovenproof casserole.
  • Return the skillet to the stove and brown the onions for 5 minutes. Toss in the apples, sauté for 1–2 minutes. Add the Sauerkraut, heat thoroughly. Add white wine and cook for an additional 2–3 minutes. Season with salt and Tabasco.
  • Transfer the onion mixture over the kielbasa, cover and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Serve over mashed potatoes.
